Pemba Training Facility
The Pemba Training Facility will be located on a 6 acre site in Pemba, the capital city of Mozambique's Cabo Delgado province. Cabo Delgado is the heart of Mozambique's emerging resources industry, with recent discoveries and development of vast gas, graphite and precious gem deposits. More than 200 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of gas has been discovered in the Rovuma Basin, and the province's graphite resources are the largest in the world.
This 200 person facility with its comprehensive training inventory will consist of classrooms , an undercover workshop environment , canteen facility and associated services such as changerooms and ablution blocks. It will also form part of a greater integrated workplace preparedness campus which will offer pre-employment medical screening and camp-style accommodation , with recreational facilities, for up to 200 persons.
The initial programs will be focused on "Work Ready" skills aimed at training and developing Mozambican Nationals with lifetime skills for gainful employment in the construction sector.
Unlike many traditional training models, the centre will be outcome focused ensuring there is an alignment between candidate skills and the needs of industry.
Key to this capability are medical and 'job' suitability assessments to ensure candidates are fit for work and that their skills are correctly aligned to employer needs.
Futuro Skills is currently undertaking a feasibility study for further expansion of the Pemba Training Facility (Stage 1) to include Offshore Safety Training (Stage 2), Technical and Trade Training (Stage 3), and an Oil & Gas Centre of Excellence (Stage 4).
Offshore Safety Training

Technical & Trade Training
This future expansion in our service offering will include traineeships in electrical, welding and fabrication, as well as international-standard welder testing facility.
Oil & Gas Centre of Excellence
A future expansion developed in partnership with an internationally recognised oil & gas training specialist. The focus will be on the training and development of Process Plant operators and Maintenance Technicians.
